Winemaker Notes:
First Bloom is 100% Vidal Blanc from vineyards in the Lake Erie region. Vidal Blanc is a top quality French hybrid known for late harvest wines. We produce a semi-dry wine with 1.8% r.s. Alcohol is 11.2%. Titratable acidity is 8.1 g/l. Fermentation at 55 degrees F. with a yeast strain that helps in production of a very aromatic wine with a soft mouth feel results in a wine that has Riesling characteristics. We produce 750 cases annually. First Bloom wins numerous gold and silver medals every year and is Tabor Home Winerys highest awarded wine over 11 years. First Bloom is also our best selling white wine.
