Barn Dance is 100% Marechal Foch from our vineyards and five other vineyards in Eastern Iowa. Each bottling is one vintage. We strive for consistency from one vintage to the next. Foch is one of the top 2 quality red French hybrid varieties grown in US. We produce 1500 cases annually. Barn Dance is a semi-dry wine with 1.5% r.s. The yeast strain I use helps develop ripe fruit flavors, mild spiciness, and softened tannins. Many comment that they can detect some oak ageing but Barn Dance is produced entirely in stainless tanks. Skin contact is 10 days. Alcohol content is 12.1%. Barn Dance Red ages very well and is at its prime three years after bottling.
