Winemaker Notes:
Catawba Rosé is 100% Catawba grapes from our vineyards and from vineyards in the Lake Erie Region. The grapes are specifically processed to extract additional flavors and pigments in the short time between crushing and pressing. This treatment and cold fermentation is the reason Tabor Home Catawba Rosé wine has been successful in international wine competitions and is our third best selling wine. Catawba Rosé has 4.5% r.s., 10 g/l titratable acidity and 11.2% alcohol. The aroma is intense, appealing fruit and the Catawba and grapefruit flavors pop out. The mouth feel is soft tannins however. We produce 800 cases annually. Catawba Rosé is very popular in the summer because of its refreshing crispness and balance.
